We have a highly skilled in-house sewing team who produce all of our sewn flags, ensuring our national flags are of the highest quality. They use Ministry of Defence approved material so that the flag is of the highest quality.
Our printed Isle of Man flags are also made from Spun Polyester, ensuring that they are made to the same high standard as our sewn flags. Spun Polyester is more durable than our standard 155gsm Knitted Polyester and is one of our highest quality flag materials. All of our printed Isle of Man flags feature crisp designs and vivid colours, making sure they stand out and look prestigious for any display. What is the difference between a sewn and printed Isle of Man flag?
Both our printed and sewn Isle of Man flags are produced from highly durable Spun Polyester. Our sewn Isle of Man flags are the most popular option and are more durable than the printed option. However, both type of Isle of Man flag are produced to the highest standard and create impressive national displays.
The Isle of Man flag is also known as the ‘Flag of Mann’. The flag features a ‘triskele’, a symbol of three curved or bent lines, in this case the three armoured legs. The use of this symbol on the Isle of Man can be traced back to the 13th century. One of the oldest uses of the ‘triskele’ depicting human legs was and is still used in Sicily. Around this period Prince Edmund Crounchback of England had a claim to the throne of Sicily. It is suspected that King Alexander III of Scotland, who ruled the Isle of Man at the time, most likely saw the symbol on a visit to Prince Edmund and adapted it for the Isle of Man.
There is some debate over when the flag officially became the Isle of Man’s national flag, ranging from 1929 to 1933. The first version of the flag had the legs running in an anti-clockwise direction, but in 1968 this was changed to clockwise.

Delivery
For stock items and flagpoles we offer a 3 working day lead time and a 3 working day standard delivery time. We will always endeavour to send orders out as soon as possible.
For most digitally printed products we work with a 7 to 10 working day lead time. These times may vary and are not guaranteed. For larger products such as Gazebos, these have a 12+ working day lead time. All lead times are from artwork sign off.
If you have specific lead time requirements or would like more information on our current lead times, please don't hesitate to contact us. We aim to meet all our customers deadline dates (some tighter lead times may be subject to an express fee).
Next day delivery is not available for remote areas, Channel Islands, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Highlands or the Scottish Isles.
Returns
We cannot accept returns of any of our bespoke products. All our products are quality checked before being dispatched. If you receive your products and they are substantially incorrect, please contact us within 3 days of delivery.
Stock items can be returned to us in their original packaging and unused, within 14 days of receiving your goods. The return cost will not be covered by House of Flags.
